Internet cafe for the blind


A cyber cafe in Pokhara trains and encourages the visually-impaired to use the computer – a skill that greatly empowers them. The cafe also encourages interaction between the blind and the sighted, which is important in a society where there is still a stigma associated with the visually-impaired.

The controversy of Pokhara’s new international airport


After 38 years, the land for the Pokhara international airport remains barren, with buffaloes grazing in the background and bulldozers for show. A simple business transaction has become overly politicised, causing the all parties involved to be stuck in a stalemate with little hope of real progress.
